Harper Woods now has an iTunes U site and we can add teacher made courses! The first course I added is a reference book of lessons that I created working with staff over the last year. Click on the picture below to go to this course on iTunes U.

Student's in Mr. Perrino's class are using iPads to take pictures of notes they take in class. These notes are uploaded to Google drive, now students have a back up of their notes! Great out of the box thinking! See the Adobe Voice of this process here:

The Tyrone 4th grade field trip to Lansing this year included iPads! Students used the iPad camera and took photos and videos to record the event. To see some of the videos posted from Mrs. Smith's room: Click Here
Tyrone Elementary held a "Tech Showcase" during parent teacher conferences. Students from 4th, 5th and 6th grade used iPads to show parents and students what they were creating on their iPads. Check out this event here: Click Here
Students in Ms. Simpsons Kindergarden class read a story "Pinkolicious" and used an iPad App "Popplet" to mind map out their favorite color. After the "Map" was created, students wrote in their journals. Check out the activity here: Click Here
Students in Mrs. Rodgers class created news cast based off the book "Hatchet". A story of a boy who is lost in the woods after a plane crash. Students wrote, filmed acted in and edited these projects. You can see these projects here: Click Here
Cathy Foster's 2nd grade class completed a "Holidays Around the World" project. This year, the class turned this project into a digital presentation with iMovie, microphones, and online research. All researched, recoreded and edited on the class iPads. Check out the introduction below!

Mr. Perrino's Weebly site has become a useful tool in his 6th grade classroom. He uses online exit surveys for feedback from his students. Mr. Perino also used embedded "Quizlet" slides for vocabulary practice. Click here to see the full site.

Ms. Simpson's Kindergarden class used an app called "Whiteboards" to take pictures of shapes they found in the classroom. With the Whiteboard app, students were able to trace and color their shapes. A great activity to get students up and moving!
Ms. Tafel-Weide's class completed reading about "Tall Tales". Students conducted research on the iPads locating graphics, pictures and further information about Tall Tales.
The next day student's used "Pic-Collage" to create a summary page from their favorite Tall Tale.

Tree Day with Mrs. Teisan's class!
Mrs. Teisan's "FutureThink" class created lessons about trees to share with students from Beacon Elementary. Pictures from the activity were put together in a photo collage.
